Nicholas Pickett

Bassist Nicholas Pickett began his musical journey 20 years ago at New Smyrna Church of God in Christ in Gary, Indiana. He attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016. While at Illinois, Nicholas was a bassist for the Black Chorus, Soul Premiere, and Grace Fellowship Church Champaign, Illinois. After graduation, Nicholas enlisted in the United States Army, served on the worship team as a bassist at Life Center Church in Tacoma, Washington, and completed overseas assignments in Korea and Afghanistan. Following his military service in 2020, Nicholas studied Forensic Psychology at Arizona State University and earned the Master of Science degree in 2023. Nicholas currently works for the United States Secret Service out of the Washington Field Office, and serves on the worship team as a bassist at Grace Mosaic in Washington, D.C.
