L’Tanya Moore-Copeland

Talented, gifted, and well educated L’Tanya understands the importance of being a good steward over her spiritual gifts.  She completed her Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance and Literature at the University of Illinois at Champaign. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Moore received a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree, with honors, from Morris Brown College. 

L’Tanya took a “gap year” and worked as studio singer at Doppler Studios for Oliver Wells, Babbie Mason and Cheryl Rodgers to name a few. Her voice can be heard on countless recordings in every genre of music.  She has performed in numerous commercial jingles and radio spots for Local and National companies across the country. 

L’Tanya was selected to lead The McDonald’s Stellar Youth Choir performing at the Stellar Awards and Essence Festival. The choir continued to represent McDonald’s in festivals and concerts in Nashville, Detroit and Atlanta.  In 2007, L’Tanya prepared a group of singers to sing with Josh Groban on “Oprah’s Final Favorite Things” show.

Her concert credits include completing the world tour of the opera Porgy & Bess with Houston Grand Opera, touring Japan, Italy, and France.  While in France, Ms. Moore played the role of the Strawberry Woman at Opera Bastille, 6 seasons of Black Nativity with Jomandi Productions, Cotton Patch Gospel at the Rialto Theater with Theatrical Outfit; Pinocchio at the Seven Stages Theater.  L'Tanya performed the Sacred Music of Duke Ellington at the Cathedral of Saint Philip during their concert series. In 2004, she performed this same work with Orchestra Atlanta The Concert. In 2008, L'Tanya was invited back to the concert stage to perform the music of Mary Lou Williams . In 2009, she returned to sing the music of Billy Strayhorn with The Atlanta Mens Chorus.

She is a member of the America Guild of Musical Artists, Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Atlanta Chapter of GMWA, MBC Alumni Association, University of Illinois Alumni Association, MCAM of the AME Church where she serves as a Connectional Worship Leader and Lifelong member of Saint Philip AME Church where she has served as The Director of Worship and Arts Ministry 26 Years. 

In 2020, in the midst of a world Pandemic, L’Tanya introduced an idea to the AME Publishing House Director. Thus, from dream to reality, L’Tanya Co-Editor the first online Hymnal for the AME Church  “We Lift Our Voices” and “Look Up and Sing” for The AME Church.

Her solo project "RADIANT" is an eclectic mix of spiritual songs that are birthed out of the hurt, pain, and disappointments that she has endured throughout the journey of life.  

On 9.10.11@12 noon, LTanya married her best friend Kerwin Copeland and they have two boys Kamron and Tristan.
